Call of the Wild: Goodbye
What a fun project! This director started as a Story Board Artist in animation, and was great to collaborate with.
Buck’s arrival in town with the mail was a much anticipated event. I tried to make it like the big happy scene at the end of It’s a Wonderful Life, bustling with characters and movement and joy.
The camera stays with Perrault, as we see his emotion change from joy to sorrow.
I wanted to keep them apart, as they both anticipate what's coming...
Life goes on, but Buck's fate is changed again.
