“Dance”

I have no idea if this oversized Jpeg will even work on this page. I tried to show how I often work, doing overheads & elevations, then boarding, once I work it out. Usually not so elaborate, unless it is car work or a run / shootout.

In this case I went out into the street with the director, choreographer, and dancer. It was fun- just spitballing ideas, making stuff up.

The director would have an idea, and I’d draw something. Then the choreographer would have an idea,  and the dancer would dance it out. And  this guy could really move. Fun to work with talented people.

Of course to hide the star, we had to keep doing the old “cowboy switch”- the actor gets punched and falls behind the bar, the the stunt guy (in this case the dancer) stands up from behind the bar in the wider shot and kicks ass (or, in this case dances his ass off).
